Wtf I guess my friends gay?

I just saw a thing on Facebook that said that my friend was gay, posted by him, I think. If it is really by him and he is gay, should I congratulate him or what? I don't plan on acting different, I do have a lesbian friend already. But what do I do when I ask if he's really gay
